NOVEMBER 1, 1999
Effective November 1, 1999, Acme Industrial
Company will implement an over-all price increase.
Prices on Standard Drill Bushings will increase
approximately 5%. Prices on Tool Holder Bushings,
Boring Bar Sleeves, Extended Range Bushings, Gun
Drill Bushings and other products in our Catalog
#1700-B will increase by varying amounts. Prices for
Standard Metric Bushings are also included in the
new price list.

INDUSTRIAL COMPANY ACHIEVES ISO 9002
REGISTRATION
May 1, 1998 - Acme Industrial
Company of Carpentersville, Illinois, has achieved
ISO 9002 compliance and has been registered by
Entela, Inc., Quality System Registration Division,
an accredited, third-party registrar based in Grand
Rapids, Michigan. Acme Industrial Company a
manufacturer of Drill Bushings, Threaded Inserts,
and other
Precision Machined Components was certified to be in
compliance with ISO 9002:1994 on April 25, 1998.
Acme has been producing products of the highest
quality for over 80 years. ISO 9002 certification
confirms that the company's quality system meets
both domestic and international industry standards
for quality. However, the company's commitment to
its customers does not stop with ISO 9002. Acme is
committed to improving its standard of service to
meet their customers' changing needs for quality and
service. Acme currently employs 85 people at its
Carpentersville plant. It was founded in 1914, in
Chicago, as a manufacturer of Drill Jig Bushings,
Leader Pins, and Dowel Pins. In 1973 Acme became a
wholly owned subsidiary of Jergens, Inc. of
Cleveland, Ohio. Acme markets its products to
industrial accounts around the world. Developed by
the International Organization of Standards in
Geneva, Switzerland, ISO 9000 is an internationally
recognized set of standards that contains elements
for ensuring quality products or services,
continuous
improvement and customer satisfaction.
NEW BROCHURE
DETAILS METRIC DRILL BUSHINGS
April 1, 1998 - Acme
Industrial Company today announced that it
has published a new brochure on metric drill
bushings. The brochure provides detailed
descriptions of plain press fit, head press fit,
slip-fixed renewable bushings,
plain liners and head
liners. Metric lockscrews and round clamps are also
included. All Acme bushings feature a
"no-counterbore" design which permits more
precise hole drilling because the bearing surface of
the bushing supports the drill for the entire
bushing length. Also, Acme bushings are
thru-hardened to 62-64 Rc, which provides a longer
service life than typical case-hardened bushings. The sixteen page brochure is
free to interested parties.
